During the use of lead-acid 5T underground mining locomotives, please note that the battery is not charged according to the specified specifications. The charging current should not be too large, otherwise the temperature of electrolyte is too high, which will make the diaphragm brittle, scorched, corrosion and bending of electrode plate, etc. The current is too large, the chemical reaction is violent, and the active substance is easy to be washed down. But the current should not be too small, otherwise, the charging time is too long. Therefore, the charging method specified in the operation and maintenance manual of lead-acid battery must be strictly followed.

(2) 5T underground mining locomotives battery is over discharged. In order to avoid battery over discharge, battery discharge indicator is set in the design of electric locomotive. When the battery is in use, the driver must stop using the battery after the discharge indicator gives an alarm.

(3) Electrolyte corrosion and dust pollution. After the battery is charged, clean the coal dust and electrolyte on the surface of the battery box with clean water. Otherwise, the electrolyte will not only erode the power box and damage it. More importantly, these dust and electrolyte will produce leakage current to the ground and cause major accidents.
